  (In reply to the other review: Perhaps you should work on your relationships with your family so you can get information about your family from your family. But I guess it's easier to blame the funeral director.)

  we were looking into a family members death,tried to get information of what was going on,left 3 phone calls(to a answering service) finally asked is this a parttime funeral home, I understand i was still in shock & frustrated that we werent getting any answers & I myself was unproffessional. Mr shilk called back and said,I will not help you because you called the funeral home parttime. We are the only family left that we know of for the deceased & we are from out of town & have no idea whats going on. From our experience very poor communication skills for a man whose business is not only burying the dead, but to offer comfort for the living.
